The Paper archives is articulated into two areas, one dedicated to the institutional history of the Museum and one dedicated to the collections and records concerning the history of cinema.

HISTORY OF THE MUSEUM

The Museum Archives provides access to documentation concerning the role and the history of the Museum and of the activities that led to the gathering of unique collections that preserve an exceptional cinematographic heritage.


HISTORY OF CINEMA

The Museum Archives collects a conspicuous number of records concerning the activity of the production studios that operated in Torino from the years of silent films to the beginnings of sound films (Funds Giovanni Pastrone and Itala Film, Film Artistica Gloria, Società Anonima Stefano Pittaluga, etc.).
It also preserves an important collection of screenplays by Italian scriptwriters, from the beginnings of Italian cinema (Funds Arrigo Frusta, Ennio Grammatica, Lucio d'Ambra, Curzio Malaparte, ecc.) to more recent times(Funds Fernando Cerchio, Guidarino Guidi, Renato Castellani etc.).
